Facebook App Testing

  

In order to assist you with your testing experience we've decided to explain a little about the application, it's purpose and instructions on usage in further detail:

The site you are currently on is a test site and sample PTA site which we test our public facing applications on. ClubExpress is a content management system for Clubs and Associations. Clubs and associations sign up to ClubExpress online and maintain/manage their own websites and content. Users are defined as Members or Administrators. Administrators maintain and create content and have elevated privledges. Administrators can access features and functions unavailable to normal members.

 

The Facebook app you are testing is only available to Administrators in the context of sharing content to social media. This app is not intended for general public usage, and will only be accessible by Administrators using the ClubExpress platform.

 

The intention of this app is to allow Administrators to share "About" content directly to the Club's/Organizations timeline. A simplified flow of the usage is:

1) Administrator clicks on "Share" icon

2) Administrator checks " Post to Facebook"

3) Administrator logs into Facebook / Authorizes application

4) Administrator types in text about the share

5) Administrator clicks submit button.

  

Links the the share icon are available on select items throughout the site "Post this blog" ,"Post this news article", "Post this event".

If you have not logged in yet, please log in by clicking "Member Login" located near the upper right corner. Username/Password is fbtester / f3105

 

1) After you have logged in click this link to be taken directly to the "News" admin page (You can also login here). The news admin page will be used to demonstrate usage.

 

When you have arrived at the news admin screen. Click on the search button to display all articles.

 

2) Click on the green share icon in the resulting table to open the sharing dialog for the particular news article to share

 

3) A share dialog will display, with checkboxes for social networks. Check the Facebook check box to begin the log into Facebook / Authorization process. Upon share completion, the any text entered into the box and a link to the referring page will be posted to the user's timeline.

 

  

4) After Pressing Share, the update will be posted to the users timeline.
