Made a change to private replies to forum messages. We were sending a single email with a ‘to’ address and a ‘cc’ address. This had the effect of revealing the original message poster’s email address to the recipient in the cc address, which is not always a good thing.
We will now send two separate messages – one to the original poster, and a separate copy to the cc address specified on the page (by default, the person sending the reply). The cc message will have a note added to the subject to indicate that it is a copy.
